SAT Results

2005 saw a change to the manner in which Key Stage 1 SATs were administered, with much of the work being through teacher assesment. Silchester was formally moderated and we were delighted that the external moderation confirmed our own results. In Key Stage 2, the assesment continues to be through external marking of papers. Silchester continues to have above average results, and is continually striving to improve the percentage of children achieving the minimum required result for their Key Stage. In order to achieve this 2005 saw the introduction of formal procedures to evaluate a pupil's progress in the core subjects of Literacy and Numeracy, allowing us to implement appropriate strategies for all children.
