The PTA - Class Representatives

Class representatives undertake a very important role. There are usually two reps per class who provide a link between the class and the Committee. The support from this team of volunteers is particularly important when it comes to organising our main events. The PTA really wouldn’t function without them.

The role of the class rep evolves with each year’s group of parents, but their primary role is to communicate with you about what the PTA is doing. Ideally this communication is two-way with the reps bringing your ideas and feedback to the Committee meetings (if you are unable to attend) as well as telling you what is happening and encouraging your involvement.

Class representatives for the academic year starting in September 2008 are:

Year Group Class Representative
Reception Melanie Campbell
  Lorraine Gregory
Year 1 Carolyne Oates
  Sharon Kalro
Year 2 Liz Betts
  Angie Campbell
  Sian Hodgson
Year 3 Tashe Gorge
  Melanie Hunt
Year 4 Kit Kartar
  Laura Lodge
Year 5 Cheryl Donoghue
  Paula Kartar
  Angela Young
Year 6 Sue Parkes
  Jenny Seaborn

Some class reps have organised a class event (for example a coffee morning, pub lunch or Christmas meal) to promote involvement. Some years produce a contact list of parents/children in the class which can prove invaluable for parties and play dates. If you have any ideas, please speak to your representative.
